Your Front Office Is Four Logins. That Is the Problem.

We build Front Desk for home services shops that lose jobs when nobody can pick up.

Your crew is on a roof. A no-cool call hits at 7pm. Overflow takes a message, or the phone goes to voicemail, and the homeowner dials the next contractor. That is not a "hire one more CSR" problem. That is a front office that never closes the loop.

We answer on the first ring, including nights and weekends. We qualify (address, issue, urgency). We book into your calendar or push a qualified job into ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or the CRM you already run. We warm-transfer when a human is needed. Every call gets a transcript.

That is the product. One path from first hello to a booked job.

Why four logins keep costing you work

Most shops we talk to do not lack tools. They have too many that never share the customer.

Texting lives in one place. Web booking in another. Call overflow with a third vendor. Website chat in a fourth inbox with no job attached. Daytime looks fine. After 5pm, or when every tech is on a truck, the stack falls apart.

Picture Tuesday. A homeowner texts about a dead AC. They also start a web booking for Thursday. At 6:40pm they call because the house is hot. Overflow rings somewhere else. Chat from the site sits alone. Nobody has the full picture. The next shop gets the job.

You did not lose them because you are understaffed. You lost them because four tools never shared one customer.

An 80-year shop just said the quiet part out loud

We are not the only ones pointing at this. On September 10, 2026, Brody Pennell Heating & Air (Los Angeles, in business since 1945) said they moved their whole front office onto one AI layer after running texting, web scheduling, call overflow, and chat as four separate platforms. Their PR Newswire release names Avoca as the partner and attributes booking rates moving from about 70% to about 90%, and Meta lead conversion from about 15% to about 25%.

Those are Brody Pennell and Avoca's claimed numbers. They are not ours. We cite them because the diagnosis matches what we see every week: an established shop admitted four disconnected platforms was the leak, and one system was the fix.

Avoca's release describes a full customer experience stack. Some PE and multi-brand shops will want that whole suite. Most mid-market HVAC shops we work with do not need to boil the ocean on day one. They need the phone and after-hours layer to stop leaking into the FSM they already trust.

That is where we sit.

Stop hiring CSRs to babysit a maze

When calls pile up, the default fix is another headset and another login.

That buys coverage, not a closed loop. Four tools still do not talk. The new hire still jumps screens. Managers still scrub recordings by hand. Overflow still leaves a message that never becomes a booked job.

If SMS, chat, and overflow cannot see the same customer, you are staffing a maze. Hire for capacity after the path from call to job is one system. Not before.

What we do instead

Here is what Front Desk does today for home services:

  • Answer every inbound call on the first ring, including after hours and weekends
  • Qualify the caller
  • Book the appointment, or push a qualified job into ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or your calendar
  • Warm-transfer when it needs a person
  • Log every call with a transcript

The example we use on our home services page: "My roof's leaking, can someone come out this week?" We capture address, issue, and urgency, book an estimate window, and get the details to your dispatcher before they hang up. Same pattern for a no-cool call at 9pm.

We are not claiming Brody Pennell's lift. We are not selling outbound campaigns, membership renewals, website management, or CSR scoring. We are the inbound phone and after-hours layer that stops missed calls from dying before they reach your stack.

Three questions for your shop

Before you add another tool or another seat, ask:

  1. Are after-hours calls booked, or only messaged?
  2. Do chat, text, and phone share one customer record?
  3. Does overflow land on the same schedule your daytime team uses?

If any answer is no, that is the gap we close.

FAQ

Do I need one vendor for every channel on day one?

No. Some shops will unify voice, chat, text, and outbound in one move. Most mid-market HVAC shops get more from fixing the phone and after-hours path first. Expand channels once that loop is closed.

Is an answering service the same as what you do?

No. An answering service takes a message. We qualify and book (or push into ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or your calendar) while the person is still on the line. Message vs booked job is the difference.

What about the AI inside ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro?

Keep the FSM you already run. We are the inbound phone layer on top. We answer, qualify, book or push qualified jobs into that system, and warm-transfer when a human is needed. We do not replace ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro. We stop missed and after-hours calls from dying before they get there.
